Plain Dosa

  • 4 cups cups Rice
  • 1 cup Urad dal
  • 1 tbsp Chana dal
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/4 cup Poha(beaten rice)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil

  1. Separately soak rice, poha and urad dal. Along with the rice soak chana dal and fenugreek seeds at least 6 hour or overnight in water.
  2. Grind urad dal separately to paste.
  3. Grind all others together along with rice.
  4. Now all the grounded paste together, add salt with water to make batter.
  5. Leave in room temperature overnight. It should ferment. 
  6. Heat pan or griddle with little ghee or oil.
  7. Spread the mix on pan in circular motion to make flat thin Dosa.
  8. Turn over on both the sides.
  9. Now cut the dosa from side to center and curl it up to form a crisp cone.
  10. Serve hot with chutney.
