Poori Masala / Potato masala

Ingredients:
  • 1 boiled  Potato crumbled
  • 4 Green chillies slit
  • 1/2 cup Onion sliced
  • 1 clove Garlic crushed
  • 4 Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Gram flour (Besan)
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • Salt to taste



Method:
  1. Dissolve gram flour in 1/2 cup of water and keep aside.
  2. Now heat a kadai or wok, add oil, when hot add mustard seeds, when the seeds splutter add onions, curry leaves, garlic and green chillies.
  3. Saute until onions are transparent.
  4. Now add turmeric powder and saute it.
  5. Add 2 cups of water and salt.
  6. Allow to boil, now add the crumbled boiled potatoes and keep stirring.
  7. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  8. Now add the gramflour mixture and keep stirring.
  9. The curry thickens immediately.
  10. Cook for 2 minutes and remove from heat.
  11. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  12. Serve with hot puris.
