- 3 cups Whole wheat flour
- 3/4 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 packet Active dry Yeast (1/4 ounce)
- Water as needed
Method:
- Dissolve active dry yeast and sugar in 1 cup of warm water.
- Close the lid and leave it untouched until the water raises twice its volume.
- Now in a large bowl add whole wheat flour, salt and the raised yeast solution.
- Knead the dough well. Add more water to make a very loose sticky dough.
- Add oil and rub on the dough and close the lid.
- Leave it untouched of 15-20 mins.
- Now the dough would have doubled in its size.
- Punch the dough with your hand, so that the air is released from the dough.
- Now again close the lid and allow to raise its size.
- This dough is ready for making Pizzas.
Ingredients For Pizza Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Tomato paste
- 1/4 cup Tomato ketchup
- 3-4 cloves Garlic grated
- 1/2 tsp Red chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp White vinegar
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Rose merry
- 1/4 cup Water
- Salt to taste
- Heat oil in a pan and add garlic and fry well.
- Add tomato paste, ketchup, red chili powder, pepper powder and salt and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add rose merry and oregano, stir and add water in it.
- Stir continuously and cook on high heat till all the water has been dried.
- Remove and transfer to a bowl and keep aside.
Ingredients For Pizza:
- Pizza dough
- Pizza Sauce
- 1/2 cup Red onions sliced
- 1/2 cup Green and Red capsicum sliced
- 1/2 cup Mushrooms sliced
- 1 Jalapeno chopped
- 1/2 cup Carrot grated
- Shredded Mozzarella cheese as needed
- Oil spray
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 400 F.
- Take a pizza pan or any baking tray.
- Spray oil on it and press the pizza dough on the pizza pan gently with your fingers.
- Spread the dough evenly on the pan.
- Now spread evenly the pizza sauce on the dough in circular motion leaving the edges of the dough.
- Now top a thin layer of cheese on the dough.
- Now sprinkle the grated carrots, onions, capsicum, mushroom and jalapenos.
- Now finally finish with more cheese.
- On the edges of the dough spray oil and gently place in the oven.
- Bake until the topped cheese turn light golden brown.
- Remove and cut into slices and serve.
- Enjoy this healthy version of Pizza.
Note:
- Vegetables can be used of once choice.
- Pizza dough can be used as you desire to make thin crust or thick pan pizza.
