- 6 Green chillies
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 cup Coconut shredded
- 2 tbsp Fried Gram
- 2 Cloves
- 1" piece Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
- 1 cup Coriander leaves chopped
Ingredients For Saagu:
- 1 cup Potato cubed
- 1/2 cup Peas
- 1/2 cup Carrot cubed
- 1 cup Beans chopped 1/2" pieces
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Grind all the ingredients in masala paste to a fine paste with little water and keep aside.
- Now add all the chopped vegetables in a pressure cooker.
- Add salt and 1/2 cup of water and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
- Remove and keep aside.
- Now in a pan add oil.
- When hot add mustard seeds, when they splutter add curry leaves and the grounded masala paste.
- Saute for few minutes until the color of the paste changes and oil start appearing on sides.
- Now add the cooked vegetables, add water for a saagu consistency and adjust salt.
- Allow to boil and remove from heat. stir in between.
- Serve hot with pooris, set dosa and chapatis.
