Sev

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Gram flour (Besan)
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  • 2 tsp Hot oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water



Method:
  1. Take a bowl, add gram flour, salt, asafoetida and hot oil.
  2. Mix well, now add water little by little.
  3. Make a tight solid dough.
  4. Now put this dough in a sev machine.
  5. Heat oil in a kadai.
  6. When hot press the machine in the oil.
  7. The dough comes out in a form of thin noodles.
  8. Fry it on both the sides.
  9. Remove and allow to cool.
  10. Now break it into small pieces.
  11. Sev is ready.

Note:
  1. For nylon sev use the a plate with very fine holes for the machine.
