- 4 Fresh Drumsticks / frozen
- 1 cup Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Tomatoes chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
- 1/2 cup Roasted peanuts
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 1/4 Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 1/2 Coriander powder
- Salt to taste
Method :
- Wash and cut the drumstick into 2" pieces and keep aside.
- Coarsely powder the roasted peanuts and keep aside.
- Now heat a kadai or wok.
- Add oil, when hot, add mustard seeds, whey they splutter add curry leaves, onions and garlic.
- Fry well, now add tomatoes to it, fry until soft.
- Add turmeric powder, chili powder and coriander powder.
- Saute it and pour 2 cups of water.
- When the water boils add drumsticks and salt.
- Adjust the water, it should cover all the drumstick pieces.
- Reduce the flame to medium low. Cover the lid and cook until all the water is evaporated.
- Stir in between.
- Now increase the flame to high and keep roasting.
- Once the drumsticks are dry fried, add the powdered peanuts.
- Mix well, add coriander leaves, saute it.
- Transfer to a boil and serve as a sidedish with rice.
