Fish Cutlets

Ingredients:
  • 3 Tilapia fish fillet (boneless)
  • 1 tsp Green chilies chopped
  • 2 tbsp Coriander chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin (jeera) powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • 1 Egg whisked
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Salt to taste





Method:
  1. In a microwave safe bowl, place the fish fillets and cover with clear wrap making small holes on it for the steam to escape and microwave for 7mins.
  2. OR
  3. In a microwave safe bowl add 1/4 cup of water and fish fillets and microwave for 7mins by closing the lid slightly.
  4. When the fish turns white then it is cooked. Discard all the water.
  5. Take another bowl and put these cooked fish and mash it with fork.
  6. Allow to cool.
  7. Preheat the oven to 450 F.
  8. To the fish add green chillies, coriander, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, bread crumbs, egg, chili powder, lemon juice and salt and mix well.
  9. you should be able to hold the mixture to make balls. If not add little more bread crumbs.
  10. Now divide this mixture into 10 equal portions and shape each portion to a flat cutlet.
  11. You can also make large size for burgers.
  12. Grease a flat baking tray with oil. Place these cutlets gently on the tray and bake for 8mins, turning the cutlets over after 4mins.
  13. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and fries.
  14. Enjoy this delicious cutlet which is a healthy alternative to the deep fried cutlets.
