Beans Fry

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb Beans
  • 1/4 cup Onion chopped
  • 4 Dry red chillies (broken into half)
  • 4 Curry leaves
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tbsp Shredded Coconut
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 1 tsp Chana dal
  • Salt to taste




Method:
  1. Remove the ends of the beans and wash them well.
  2. Now cut the beans into small pieces.
  3. In a pressure cooker add these chopped beans, salt and 2 tbsp of water.
  4. Mix well and close the lid. Pressure cook only for 1 whistles.
  5. Leave untouched till the pressure is released.
  6. Heat a pan, add oil, add mustard, when it splutters add urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, dry red chillies, onions, turmeric and crushed garlic.
  7. Fry well, now add the cooked beans.
  8. Keep frying until there is no water.
  9. Add coconut and coriander leaves and saute well.
  10. Transfer to a bowl and serve as a side dish.
