Besan Laddoo

  • 1 cup Bengal gram flour (besan)
  • 1/3 cup Ghee
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 tsp Pistachois grated

  1. In a microwave safe bowl add gram flour and ghee and mix well.
  2. Microwave for 3 mins. Do not close the lid.
  3. Stir after every 1 minute.
  4. You can see the bubbles forming. This helps the gram flour to cook.
  5. Microwave for another 1 minute and mix well.
  6. Be careful it will be very hot.
  7. Allow it to cool.
  8. When slightly warm add cardamom powder and sugar and mix well.
  9. Again allow it to cool. If warm or hot the ghee does not solidify and balls cannot be made.
  10. Once cooled,  make into small equal balls and shape it into laddoos.
  11. Decorate it with grated pistachios.
  12. Store in air tight container for 3 to 4 weeks.
