- 3 Tilapia fish fillet (boneless)
- 1 tsp Green chilies chopped
- 2 tbsp Coriander chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp Cumin (jeera) powder
- 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- 1 cup Bread crumbs
- 1 Egg whisked
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1/4 cup Water
- Salt to taste
Method:
- In a microwave safe bowl, place the fish fillets and cover with clear wrap making small holes on it for the steam to escape and microwave for 7mins.
- OR
- In a microwave safe bowl add 1/4 cup of water and fish fillets and microwave for 7mins by closing the lid slightly.
- When the fish turns white then it is cooked. Discard all the water.
- Take another bowl and put these cooked fish and mash it with fork.
- Allow to cool.
- Preheat the oven to 450 F.
- To the fish add green chillies, coriander, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, bread crumbs, egg, chili powder, lemon juice and salt and mix well.
- you should be able to hold the mixture to make balls. If not add little more bread crumbs.
- Now divide this mixture into 10 equal portions and shape each portion to a flat cutlet.
- You can also make large size for burgers.
- Grease a flat baking tray with oil. Place these cutlets gently on the tray and bake for 8mins, turning the cutlets over after 4mins.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup and fries.
- Enjoy this delicious cutlet which is a healthy alternative to the deep fried cutlets.
